Other Members

In addition to the usually visible primary frontline members of the Social Misfits, the crew also has a few additional members also quietly putting in development work. We anticipate to be bringing you more news about them but in the meantime we are proud to briefly introduce you to Mizola is a brother that we highly tip for great things in the coming year. He has already made several notable appearances on the Social Misfits album and on the Shiesty da Gypsy album. The Bermuda born and bred has spent much of his life fully exposed to hip-hop from a very young age. He studied in the States and later came to study in Hull University, Yorkshire (Northen England). He was introduced to Shiesty when a mutual friend thought they would both compliment each other as a group and Shiesty in turn brought him into the Social Misfits family.

Overseas Edition is the brainchild of Shiesty and Mizola. Together they have united to create an interesting entity around an exciting concept that they wish to decline from commenting upon right now. Full revelations on their intentions will be revealed in due course but a brief audible insight about what to expect can be found on Shiesty's own forthcoming solo album on a track appropriately called "Overseas Edition"

Duane Jones is another part-time member of the crew whose main focus at the moment is his aspirartion to become a proffesional football/soccer player. As well as being very well skilled on the ball the young South Londoner is equally impressive on the mic and despite his casual affection for rhyming he would put many more determined rappers to shame. He has a real nice flow that compliments his London dailect, descriptive metaphors, humorous paraphrases and observations of life. Evidence of this can be checked on "London Uncovered", his sole contribution on the Social Misfits album. Though multi-million transfer fees in the premeirship league are more tempting for him we hope to encourage him to bless the mic more often, so in the meantime we suggest that you consider yourself lucky whenever you do get the opportunity to here him.

Debrah West plays a significant role at Social Misfit Entertainment. As well as being one of the session vocalists, song writer, heavily utilised by the production team she also provides useful commentary and ideas on our recordings as well as undertakes much of the administration on behalf of the company.

SinisterMinisterz is a sideline project of Sir Prestige that embraces the darker musical elements of his creative mind. The man behind the music explains, "The problem of producing for other people is that you often have to consider what the vocalists best suit or compromise on experimental stuff. As well as the varied types of musical compositions I do I also like that really gritty dark hip-hop that is more about imagination than conforming. Sinister Ministerz is my outlet for this art of me. When dealing with this I need not concern myslef about what the featured vocalists are gonna do because its is all my own dictation. Infact in many cases I anticipate most of the stuff I do under this alias to be instrumentals. I am not sure if they is really a market for what I have in mind but that is exactly the point, something new fresh and new allows offer this challenge."

Forensic Techniques is a co-production, songwriting and remix outfit that adds to the varied types of work Sir Prestige and the rest of the Social Misfit Entertainment bring to the musical boards. The production outfit totally embrace musical directions and inspirations from sources outside the hip-hop arena but their creations certainly add to the rich variation of hip-hop. Though that may sound like a vague description they really is not much more to say about describing Forensic Techniques and they very much prefer to let the music they do speak for itself. Check out their contribution on the Social Misfits album for an insight on what to expect when they finally decide to commence on a full project.

Though not a performing artist himself Woo is an integral member of the Social Misfits and has been so since its inception. As well as ensuring we are highly entertaintained with his amusing comments and mannerisms he also provides an invaluable service as our road manager intern.

Representing the Northern heights of the UK is the talents of Manchester resident and long-time Social Misfit cohort, Stranger. His appearance on the original version of Shiesty's "Early Up" lead to continued features on other Social Misfit recording projects and his contributions have always been much valued. Stranger always brings the realness lyrically and his growling baritone voice is always guaranteed to grab listeners attention.
